Just like Alice followed the rabbit into another world, I follow my imagination through daily life.
Inspiration: There is nothing particular I could name, like a book /song etc, that inspires me.
It is rather the daily life I live, and what my imagination forms of it that makes me crave to create something. 'Alice in Wonderland' is one thing that flows into this, but it is nothing that springboards my creativity and makes creating not just an urge, but a necessity, as it was put in the description. Rather, if I see a person on the subway, an old factory, or even if I experience a particular feeling, I create a story from it and am inspired to put it on paper. Even if the trot of every day can be dull and unexciting, there are these things that spark my imagination. Hence, this is my tribute to 'daily life' as my inspiration.
(The background on the right side is the subway station where I get off every day, representing 'my daily life'.)
I really like the sense of motion you have captured here. In this representation of your everyday life it shows the world of imagination found in writing. The motion in the piece represents a person or us going through our everyday routines. We move through our deadlines, chores, traveling to and from a destination (subway) and most of us never stop to look at the usual in a new perspective nor do we let our imagination roam while there are worries and duties to be done on our minds. I like how the people who are caught in this everyday dull routine are painted in black & white. They cannot escape or have not escaped into a world where colorful pages fly and dance like flames and a girl, who like Alice, chases after the white rabbit. You have drawn her is color which shows she has moved out of the daily monotone routine. Her mind spurs her to "move" in another direction then the people in the subway. Her imagination leaves a paper trail of flying pages as she chases after the white rabbit hoping/straining to catch him with her pen and paper.
Good luck with the contest
I am happy that it comes across as I intended
